Letters to Illinois Parents about the Common Core

Families are crucial to children’s success, so it is important that parents learn about Illinois’ new Common Core learning standards and why we need them. That’s why we’ve developed these parent letters that get down to the basics of the Common Core. Print them out and use them to communicate with families and your community.

We’ve developed two letters; one for parents of elementary school students and one for parents of high schools students, and have translated them into Spanish, Polish, Chinese, and Arabic.  For convenience we provide them in color or black and white.
